If you had a bad razor, then you probably didn't get all the hair off. You're shaving Why???? Oh well, some guys like doing that. Try a moisturizer. If that doesn't work, nix the shaving and try Nair.

Men's hair on their legs grows faster than women's, and since men have more testosterone than women, it's coarser. If you want that silky-smooth feeling to last, I would suggest waxing or Nair. If you do choose to use Nair, it may take more than one turn, and _do_not_ leave it on for longer than the recommended time, no matter how hairy you think you are. Seriously, it can cause nasty burns.
Or, shave every morning. Use moisturizer. Don't let your razor get dull. Etc.

I know it took a while for my skin to get used to being shaved and I got irritated at first. It will probably get better. Start with a new razor blade and shave again after your skin has a chance to rest.

Yeah, it could be that your razor isn't sharp enough. Try putting moisturizers on after and exfoliate with a sponge beforehand.
