Does litter seem like it is getting more abundant in the US ?

I don't know if it's just me but .... it seems like people are litteing everywhere. Fastfood bags .... plastic water bottles and drinks ... soda cans etc.
I remember in the 70s there were many antilitter campaigns.

I know the recycling programs are growing but ..... trash seems to be everywhere.
Do other countries have the same problem ???
Who is to blame ?
Are we really getting worse ?

I just got done collecting trash for two residential streets. I filled a bag with cans, newspaper bags, advertisements, and yes, a mcdonald's bag. Anybody who liters is to blame for trash being everywhere. It was pretty shocking how much trash I found.

Other countries have the same problems but not as bad in the united states. And you are right the trash is getting worse and that is why so many of these recycling programs are getting started up in hopes that there will be less trash. Most people unfortunately are to lazy to put stuff in the trash or recycle. Who to blame? you ask, the lazyiness of people.

Yes, unfortunately, I think there's more littering in the U.S. The disposable diapers are contributing greatly to the problem. Some other countries have never even seen one, let alone used one. It's such a waste! Disposable diapers were invented for people to use when traveling! The next thing you know, the young lazy mamas are using them daily. It's as bad as buying cigarettes & then burning them up! I also believe there are certain races who throw out litter more than the others...The ones who should have to clean it up are the jailbirds who are released from jail because the jails are over-crowded.

Have you been to Mexico lately, that's all I'm saying!
I do have one more thing.

The state of Texas 'dont mess with Texas' campaign for littering did a study and found the the main source of littering was hispanic women.
