If someone dies in an apartment and the police or coroner, whoever, leaves the white sheet in the hallway (death did not happen in the hallway), who should be called? The police or the apartment people? Would the police just laugh if you called? Or are you SUPPOSED to call? It's disturbing...
This is serious by the way, please no joke comments.

Do a non emergency call to the police dispatch center. They won't laugh (at least you won't hear it), but they'll tell you what to do with it, or they'll have someone pick it up.
(Don't dial 911, look up the number in the phone book)

Call the police station's non-emergency number or else you could call the coroner's office. They will tell you what to do.

Call your apartment building's management office and let them take care of it They will probably remove it from the hallway and notify the correct agency.
