Is having a "Free will" good? Many Christians say: "God gave us free wills and he will judge us according to this". Having free will doesn't abolish the fact the God knows every single thing; past, present or future, so He knows what our choices will be, without interfering with them, letting us pick what we please. I believe this is free will. Ok! Is it good? God already knows that some people will choose the "wrong" choice, but still He didn't interfere! So why didn't He NOT give us free will and just made us all believers, so we could all end up in heaven? It isn't fair to not do so. That being said: Free will just sucks, who wants it?! Let's all enjoy heaven!

I agree with the first comment as far as it goes.
I'd go further. Don't you see that if God were all-knowing and all-powerful, "free will" would be impossible - or at least illusory? It's ludicrous to think that you could ever "rebel" against such a Being. All the powers of Satan must actually be powers of God!
"Because He wishes us to come to Him of our own free wills." Lazy theist! These people continually besmear their exalted concept of "God" with their own greasy mentalities. There's no excuse for an all-powerful, all-knowing God to have created imperfect beings, and then to punish them for this imperfection, unless we suppose that He simply enjoys the sadistic puppet-show. Personally, I'd rather not believe in such a God even if He does exist!

Yes it is good. Would you prefer a wife who was loyal because she loved you and wanted to be with you or one who did it because she was forced to? God also want us to give our love and devotion freely and willingly. God knows that not all will make that choice. However individuals are not predestined to obey or disobey. For example, you may be able to foresee the consequences of a certain action beforehand and say to a friend "If you continue eating like that and not exercising you will have a heart attack." The friend continues and has a heart attack. You did not cause it, although you knew from his family history, his lifestyle, and perhaps even some medical training, what would happen. Since God made us free moral agents, we can choose to obey or disobey. He informs us of the consequences of disobedience and the rewards of obedience. This way we make an informed choice. Deuteronomy 11:26-28 shows that this is the case. God put before Israel a choice. One way would lead to blessings, the other to a curse.

I don't want it, and I don't have it. Neither do you.
But as you say, if God existed it would have been much better had he made us without free will and placed us directly in Heaven.
[What is the difference between having free will and not having it but thinking you do? A big difference. Ask yourself why it would matter if you only thought you had free will.]

Your wording of "give us free will and just made us all believers" is an oxymoron - you can't do both at once.
Personally I think risking punishment for my wrong choices totally beats the alternative of being a mindless robot - but maybe that's just me.

Basically using your free will is a sin. Heaven is an exclusive club and god never thought that maybe not everyone wants to join because most chritians I know are hypocritical assholes.

This free will vs. omnipotence argument has been stated here on this board at least a dozen times.
If you go to the Search for questions field and type free will omnipotence, you will get more than enough info to fill your time from now till eternity.

Everything is in the hands of Heaven except the fear of Heaven. that is the limit to our free world. All other choices are merely preferences, many of which are determined by our one free will choice.

Aww..without free will..we would be more like robots then people.
Nobody wants to be loved by someone who is forced to do so!
It must be willing and from the heart! Then it is worth something

Because He wishes for us to come to Him of our own free wills. That we can come to accept Jesus as our Lord and savior of our own free wills.
God did not make us to simply amuse Him like mere play things. He gave us souls and thoughts so that we can be His children.
