when I tried to open it today it opens. but when I click enter to continue from the main screen the program closes. I tried the program on windows XP and on 2000 and the same thing happens. It is material requirements planning software that I use to cost out jobs. I can email program if you think you can help. I need to get this working ASAP. thanks in advance for any help you can offer

Wow - this takes me back in time...
You will need to define a PIF file to describe your dos environmental conditions (memory, etc) so that your shell does not step on xp memory, interrupts, or other OS level 'thingys'.
No one is expert anymore here. Search M$ website for "PIF", or even help and support from within XP.
(I love showing up level 6's) ;-D

When I had that problem it was because I was using AOL and they where shutting down all my dos programs.
