Try flushing it out with water. Pull down your lower eyelid and look down in there and see if you see anything. It could be an eyelash. Try flushing with your head tilt to the side where whatever it is will come out the inside corner. You may be able to use your finger to help.

If you cannot find the object, then you should see your eye doctor immediately. I would not take an eye complaint to the ER unless you really have to. ER physicians are not trained specifically in eye care and can make matters worse. Packing the eye could drive a splinter further inside the eye, complicating the removal.

I had a pain in my left eye that would not go away and I could not find any loose foreign objects. It was maybe an hour before going to bed that I noticed the pain, and I decided to go to bed and if the pain remained, to see my eye doctor. Well, the pain continued until noon the next day and I saw my eye doctor. He said that I had a metal splinter in my cornea and he numbed and stained my eye and dug it out. I was told to come back the next day to have the rust fragments removed. There was no need to dig for that since that grows up to the surface overnight. They were closed because the accreditors from their eye association would be there, but the other eye doctor (his wife) was able to see me and remove the fragments. I had to keep the eye covered according to the instructions for about a week. When the dressings came off, I noticed my vision was blurry in that eye. It was like my nearsightedness had gotten worse. That was due to swelling and a small amount of internal bleeding and that returned to normal within a couple of weeks.

I'm assuming you did all the normal stuff... Try to flush it with water or put drops of something like Visine in it. Did you lift up your lid and try to pull it out and down to dislodge what's in it? While you're doing this move your eye around alittle that sometimes helps.

If it starts to hurt or your eye gets really red you should see a Dr. cause whatever is in it could scratch your cornea and you don't want that to happen. You don't need to see an eye Dr. Any Dr. or even the emergency room would check it out for you.

Try pulling your upper lid out and down over your bottom lid. Then let go. This can wipe the speck off onto the bottom lashes, where you can wipe it away.

Use a eyewash or pull your upper lid over your bottom lid in order make natural tears which will also wash it out.

Flush with Water!

Put your two hands together like a bowl and put your eye in it and Open/Blink your eye several times until it goes away.

good luck!

If you have an eyewash cup that is perfect...use really cold water. If not use a Q-tip...if you can see it what is causing the problem

Depending on what it is. If its a metal go to the ER. If its trash or something I have always been told use warm milk.

The best way to get your eye out is with a long-tined fork.
