Does anyone know why this can be? And what is the best thing to do for it?

If the diarrhea occured with in just a few hours of grooming and resolves within a day, it is likely due to stress. When dog's become really stressed it is common for them to get diarrhea afterwards. If it does not resolve within a day he may have picked up a bug at the groomers. If it is just regular poo colored diarrhea you can usually find doggy diarrhea medication at any pet supply store. If it has blood in it other than a streak, you need to consider worms in which case he would need to see the vet for because that can cause him serious problems if not death (only if it has blood in it though).
