well I'm still single n have tried online dating, but it hasn't work out for me because I move around a lil too much (I'm a missionary) so I didn't try online dating hard enough. it has worked out for others. if u join one u need to stick to their procedures. Do things the way they tell u to. I would be suspicious of a site that says "plenty of fish" as if men n women were fish! but there are many other dating sites that do a very good job on that. before u go out on a date remember WHO u r n where ur heading in life. Define ur value system n goals n what ur looking for in a woman. then keep ur eyes open n go meet people. Friend networking is the best way. Married friends would be ur best matchmakers, especially those who've had a successful married life. God bless go for it!

I would try both, what do you have to lose?
I have known people who are happy that met in real life and online...Online isn't so bad as long as the girl you like is local. Long distant things are so hard to work with, local is definitely better. Also, when we spend more time on our computers, it is more conveinent for us to date this way, especially as we get older and the bar scene is not so appealing anymore.
So as I suggested, I would do both for now and see where that takes you. People are less stressed to post online than they used to be....

various factors that effect interpersonal attraction for the duration of face-to-face verbal replace, including social propinquity (in actuality in simple terms being close to somebody); exposure; factors of verbal communication like intonation, laughter, expressiveness, a extra loose-flowing replace than on the spot messaging; plus physique language, etc. are all sacrificed to an quantity with online relationship. So because of the fact online relationship IS much less own, it particularly is achievable that persons share much less of a bond and are extra probable to visit a various individual.

it depends on your personality really...if you are an outgoing socialite who loves meeting new people in person and loves the "action" in a bar/club (I don't mean action in a sexual way) then you might noe enjoy the online thing.online daters bu nature of their choice to find someone descretely may not be extroverted enough for you. that being said if you are on the shy side yourself or don't feel comfortable with the whole club/bar scene then try it out..good luck
oh.....and just to let you know, i was under the impression that "plentyofish, was for a little "more" than dating
