Two years ago my nephew was a perfect little angel. Now he's 14 barely goes to school he drinks I think he smokes pot. I track all the stuff he does via the bebo website. Thats the other thing he's stupid. Why would he put down everything he does there when he's the one that told me about the website. His mum lets him do what he wants to avoid conflict. Is anyone else going through this? I have a 9 month old and I'm not looking forward to the teenage years. What have others done to avoid these problems?

I agree in a way that he's trying to be cool but he definitely is doing these things 'cos 'he has taken photos of himself with beer bottles. His friends are the same way because there web sites are just as disgusting.
Has anyone else out there had a similar experience and been able to fix the problems?

You have to teach a young person to obey authority starting very early, 2-3 years old. If you can get their brain right in the 2-3-4-5-6 years you are in good shape. Be firm, not mean, but firm.

Mistake: Johnny, are you ready to go?
Correct: Johnny, come with me.

Also take them to church so they have a spiritual understanding of life, even if they don't get it too well when young, God is still working on them.

Both both cases above, essentially what you are doing is teaching them that the world does not revolve around themselves and that life is not just about personal pleasure all the time.

u should try to talk to him honestly and tell him that what he is doing is very wrong and wont make him any good...... look for every action there is a reaction..... u should find out what made him do this in the first place i mean something must have bothered him or hurt him deeply and he is trying to run...... find it and try to solve it to rescue him........one more things he must have some friends to encourage him on that stuff he has to be isolated from them and introduced to new successful friends other wise he may end up as an addict or in jail..... u want him to get that far ?

Has it ever occured to you that maybe he's lying to make himself look cooler... or to fit in better. enless you actually witness him doing drugs or drinking, don't assume, you can make enemeys that way a lot quicker. Talking to him might help to, or maybe take him to counciling if you think theres a bigger reason then just trying to fit in
