do you think the fans of other forms of racing like to bad mouth nascar because there is not enough people interested in the F1 or IRL and Champ cars to even be able to talk about their sport on here?

I think that might be part of it, but I also think that it comes from just the ignorance on thier part. The reasons why Nascar has taken off the last couple years is Nascars ability to reach out to the masses more effectively then a all motor sports and even other pro sports. Its probably more appealing to Americans because its mostly American (until this year with toyota) its not single line racing like most open wheel racing. The racing tends to much more competitive because the restrictions Nascar places on them allows them to be more competitive and exciting. While in F1 you see the same team dominate the entire year like Fernando Alonso & Micheal Schumacher) where Nascar different track allow various teams to shine. Any way you look at it i think Nascar is generally looked at as the better series that is why you are seeing a influx of open wheel stars Almindinger Montoya, and stars like Hornish and Villanueve testing the waters. Just because the competitiveness of the series. Thats my opinion and im sticking to it

In the south an open wheel car is a late model dirt stocker.
The IRL,CART,F1 never caught on.I myself drove what was called a Formula Vee,these were open wheel with air cooled VW type engines. They were mainly run on road courses.
I have run full bodied dirt cars on a 1/4 mile track and I have went to a NASCAR driving school at Talladega(175mph).
I felt more secure and comfortable in the full body cars.
So with these F1 fans coming to NASCAR site just want to start stuff and get the stock car fans irritated best thing is to ignore them.

F1 racing is the second biggest spectator sport in the world, with less than twenty races. Soccer is the number one spectator sport.
You can wipe your butt with Champ Car or URL. They created their own demise when they split. I guess Roger Pens didn't have enough money.
NASCAR used to be a great form of auto racing, before the sponsors took over. Now it's a combination of wrasslin' and roller derby. Nothing to do with the money they pay their drivers. It's no longer about the racing, it's now about the "event". What a joke.

I completely agree with you for the most part. I mean the other people bad mouth our sport and say everything they can and they don't respect us so why should we respect them and actiions speak louder then words, and they dont even have their own categories and NASCAR is the most popular because it has the most interest in America. I think that you are totally rgight.

Nascar owns and runs the coach. it truly is their empire. it truly is no longer a democracy, it truly is a dictatorship. it truly is as a lot as them to make the guidelines and they could do what they imagine is perfect. No, they don't look to be continuously suitable, yet Nascar has survived for over 50 years, so as that they could be doing something properly. The mysterious debris cautions look some distance fewer at the moment.

No, they like to badmouth NASCAR because its fans are totally uncaring and unaware of anything about racing history or other forms of racing. It's like reading an art critic who won't look at anything but watercolors. It's ignorant.

Even then, if NASCAR fans could be just a little bit humble and accepting of other opinions, they wouldn't be such easy targets. Part of being a true REDNECK is not caring about the affect of one's actions on others. Like parking a junked car in your front yard, or peeling out at every intersection or harassing people with opposing political views. NASCA drivers are nice guys -- I've known many of them since the 1970s. But many of their fans are asse$.

ps: Road courses are like real driving. How on earth can you like driving and hate road courses?

yeah...I agree with you. The only reason they bad mouth NASCAR is because they don't have enough fans in their types of racing. Oh well, maybe they'll get over it one day
