Sell the "sizzle" not the burger. I usually don't eat red meat, but over the weekend I saw a Burger King commercial with the burgers sizzling on the grill (they didn't even have any words in the commercial) and immediately wanted a Burger King Whopper. That's advertising.

Sell people on the benefits of using/having what you are selling, not the product itself.

you mean like a hooker to a televangelist? do-able
crack to the mayor of a large american city? been done.
donuts at fat camp?

what the hell are you trying to sell, and why don't you know your product well enough to point out the positives? does your sales manager know that you are in desperate need of training? tell them you need help before you need a new job!!!
