My 6 month old yorkie pup seems to be scared of her food dish.
When she eats a meal she approaches and backs away from her food dish with her tail between her legs. Is she scared of her food?

Not likely of her food, but something that is going on around the food dish, or possibly something that has happened while she was eating. Is her food out of the way so she can feel comfortable? Has something fallen off the counter onto her when she was eating?

Possibly.
Your pet might be assoiciating feeding time with something that scares her.
Need to identify the actual cause and work from there.
Such as= When you drop the food into the dish it is so loud that it scares here*note* may not be the reason but this gives you an idea of what you should be observing

she might be or she might be scared of the bowl or the location... I would try changing where and what you feed her in... if she is in the kitchen try moving her dish to a new area... maybe somewhere quiet where she wouldn't be as nervous.. keep trying different things to see if you can find out what is going on
