Since when is a war equivalent to a tea party? WE are there to fight terrorists not hug them.

Friendly Fire has been going on since the Roman Days and no doubt before then. In every war that mankind has been involved in, freindly fire has killed some of the troops belonging to the side they are fighting for. It is something that has been reduced quite a bit since the 2nd world war, but as long as there are troops at war, there will be freindly fire accidents. Thats hard for the average citizen to understand, but being a 25 year retired Marine, I can understand the dangers. Lets hope it doesn't happen any more.

permit's use the Pat Tillman case as a study. His groop sport decrease than hearth from the enemy. He volunteered to scout out a sophisticated place at a larger component to attain a extra effective firing attitude on the enemy. A 2d team passing interior the process the comparable section heard gunfire from Tillman's place, did no longer understand that he replaced into up there, and back hearth. Pat Tillman replaced into killed with the help of this hearth. conflict is complicated. the days of directly strains in distinctive uniforms marching in the direction of one yet another on huge, open, battlefields is long over. blunders ensue and persons get killed. that's why conflict variety of sucks and could in simple terms be used if there is no different decision. you won't be able to blaim the troops for those incidents, nevertheless. they have a chop up 2d to receive, interpret, and study an hour's properly worth of guidance. each and all of the practise interior the worldwide won't be able to make that ensue completely each and each time.

Run away and see if you get a better outcome then Spain when they pulled out. Or don't you remember the train bombings in Madrid. The problem with the action today is that we've all become so civilized that we're trying to fight a war without killing anyone. Just like Japan,( yeah I know the bombs were terrible but any honest Japanese historian will tell you they actually saved lives by destroying the will to fight) these people will not stop until they face total annihilation.

what kind of question is this? i'm terribly sorry some of your soldiers are being killed fighting for freedom...maybe you'd prefer them to die from a terrorist attack. As for friendly fire, its a sad part of war but plenty of Americans have lost their lives from it as well. Leaving America alone to 'sort it out' after making a commitment is juvenile and would severely hurt the alliance. Besides, I believe America has bailed Britain out a few times, suppose Bush has made a mistake...we still need the UK's help.

How many times are people gonna have to say this?
WAR IS FREAKIN' WAR. There will be deaths. What do you think, everyone is invincible? People will die, and Britain is helping the U.S. because they have for years. You got a problem with it, then next time you need the U.S., we'll just stay out of it.
(Knowing you Europeans and your bloody history, you probably will need the U.S. again....)
And you brits really need to stop acting like the U.S. invented occupation. Ever heard of the British Empire? YOU invented most of the problems in the third worlds.

It's that kind of shucking responsibility for the common good that has led to this conflict in the first place. Shame on you.
