Hmmm. I would say that a good way of starting a conversation with a girl is to open with a compliment. A sincere one.

Not something lame like: "Your *** is amazing".

Something like: "I like your hair".

NEVER say "You *look* beautiful", because that just insinuates that she only LOOKS beautiful for that moment instead of her actually BEING beautiful. Always say "you *are*".
