Absolutely, I believe that they should actually do something besides build an infrastructure that lines their pockets with money, build multi-million dollar facilities, finance telecommunication facilities, and live in the lap of luxury at the expense of all he poor blind sheep that contribute to what they say is "the right thing." Its time to help someone else besides themselves.

Global Warming is a trojan horse for Socialism, wake up Americans. Global warming is at the fore front because politicians found how to use a new platform to get re-elected. The world leaders use it because they found ways to make money at it. This is a made up problem just like Global Cooling in the 1970's. Wake up people. I agree we need to be more efficient with our resources, and we should fine and jail companies who are dumping into our rivers maliciously. I want to stop the raiforest destruction, but to say that global warming is a serious man made issue and we need to destroy the American economy and bow down to the rest of the world certainly does not float my boat. Follow the money on this one and you will see that it is all for political gain and grant money for those scientists who profit off of the government if global warming stays at the front of the issues. Look deep into the Keoto (sp?) Treaty, first of all they took jets to a non-central resort location. Not very environmentally concious. THen in the parameters of the treaty they have a clause that makes it so you can buy or sell polution credits. This is all about shifting wealth and breaking down the United States. This is painfully obvious, just look at peoples agenda. The earth's mean temperature has risen .6 degrees C in the past 125 years. Greenland's icecaps have gotten colder in the past 10 years. The Scientists who do not gain anything on their posisition will tell you that the earth has a natural progression and this is what we are seeing. The UN report is made up of POLITICIANS not a good spread of scientists. THere are as many or more scientists who believe that man in NOT the reason and it is over hyped, but their voice is not heard in the LIberal Mainstream Media. This issue is 99% political, and an attempt to make the USA a socialist nation, and eventually communisim. WAKE UP AMERICA, IT IS TIME TO BE AMERICANS. FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE. STOP THE LIES

I think that even if the religious leaders tried to help get the ball rolling, that it wouldn't help. I think that it is just hard to make people care anymore. I've noticed the changes in the weather before this all became known to the media...and nobody listens to what I have to say about it. It's almost like people don't care if they live or die. I'd say...that we should try to get everyone involved. Rather they are religious or not. Of course, I do think the churches should support whatever would help our earth heal.

I think that your a bunch of socialists. We've had a 'Global Warming Crisis' for 20 years now, in the 1970's exactly the same was happening but with Global Cooling. There is NO evidence to show global warming is due to human contribution of Carbon Dioxide. This in fact is the greatest deception in the history of science. We are wasting time, energy and lots of money while creating unnecessary fear and consternation over an issue with no scientific justification.

one hundred % and it astonishes me that they are not interested ,their business is what happens to people after they are dead ,their focus is on heaven .
not on this Earth
in Mexico i have Attempted to get religious leaders to talk to their flock about not`poluting and cleaning up the Environment and they dont even want to come to the meetings ,and are not interested in the slightest
Except in Oaxaca with a rural Indio comunity ,i had a priest talk to a flock of 2000 about keeping the Environment clean and not to deforrest for a few dollars but rather take care of the trees.
but it was an unique situation,
white Christians dont give a Damn.

HELLO
I am a christian and as such, I fight global warming because one of the commandement tells me:
DOU SHOULD NOT KILL
And global warming is likely according to the study released byChristian Aid to kill 185 million of people if nothing is done.
I have no right to live my kind of life if it endangers the survival of other people at the other end of the planet... Indirect killing also counts for us... just like guns don´t kill people... people do...
Not global warming will kill people... people will since it is man-made...
I don´t deny global warming even if some special group of interest do it...
DOU SHOULD NOT LIE
Only in the US Global Warming is denied by some people close to oil interests or blind conservative backgrounds. And they are paying scientist to deny what is not a theory, but a phenomenon
DOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS
And here´s an other one... by using the resources at the rate we do, we don´t leave the same chances for the next generations while Jesus told us clearly to share (see the coat).
DOU SHOULD NOT STEAL
Yes seriously, why should my generation own coal resources and the right to doom the earth and live nothing to the next one... isn´t that stealing their future ? If everybody in the world consumed (inefficiently) like the US, 7 planets would be needed.
Then for the global warming deniers who are close to the some christian churches... I would take care of that:
YOU SHOULD NOTE MAKE WRONGFUL USE OF THE NAME OF GOD.
And since energy is getting scare, just trying to get control of other people´s resources instead of real solutions at home is not an option for:
YOU SHALL NOT COVET YOUR NEIGHBOR´S HOUSE

No, it is not a religious issue. People are aware of the environment. It gets daily press coverage.
There is no global warming crisis. There is some evidence that the average temperature is increasing. It is not a crisis and man cannot do anything to reverse it. Heat comes from the sun. The energy output from the sun is on the rise.

Yes, our original job was tending the garden. We were put in place over (stewardship not tyranny) the animals.
A good Christian will be environmentally aware but not stupid. For example people who participate in environmental terrorism. Human life, and eternity is the greater issue of course.
Personally I have doubts about global warming. May be another example of bad science.
