i hate lettuce ad spinach and everything thats in salad. i only like 2 types of vegetable which are carrots and green beans. im on the "mayo diet" that my doctor gave me but i can't stand the salads and they make me gag. is there any way i could substitute the veggie salad with a fruit salad. another thing i hate. i can only eat three meals a day and nothing in between but i need something. what do you think i should do?

Fruits will provide vitamins, but vegetables will provide minerals for bone and tooth health. If carrots are your thing, then eat them, but apples will provide the crunchy chewing that you need, and bananas are filling. If you have to substitute, keep your calorie count as close to the same as you can. Tell your doctor about your dislikes, he may be able to suggest a few changes. Try to eat a couple of 'green' bites at each meal until you can feel better about it. I have the same problem, sometimes they just taste bitter. Stay with your eating plan, and best wishes.
