Are American women really this bad?

tells me that American women are at the bottom of the scrapheap for marrying due to them being:

-) the neediest wives in all the world
-) most likely to divorce you
-) least likely to spend time with kids
-) most likely to nag
-) most likely to take all you earn for years to come

He stated that foreign women, on average, treat men like a real gem, not demanding fancy houses or cars before marriage since they are poor, or screwing tons of guys before settling with you.

I'd like to hear from both ladies & men on this one. Is he right?

Wow! That's wrong, although there are definately women like that. I think we can all thank Hollywood and newsstand magazines for that. American women definately need to take it down a notch.

That is so wrong on so many levels.
In some countrys women are still treated like slaves, forced to be at her husbands bec and call. To me it takes a very self-centered man who would even want this type of woman. You had a mom, look for a partner. I am with my children 24 hours a day and 7 days a week I wouldn't have it any other way. US does have a higher divorce rate that other countries, but here we have the choice to leave abusive, cheating husbands. But you will also find that the number of men leaving their wives is also higher in the US than any other country.

I don't think so, they sound lkkike YUPPIES to me. I'm an American Woman and I f*ckin don't give a damn about money or needing every item on the list of most things wanted by women, I'm never going to get a divorce, I love kids, nagging is only natural unless your a b*tch, and sign a prenuptual agreement to solve the last problem. Foreign women want to get the F*ck out of there F*cked up countries, that's why they marry American men, that and they get bought by them too.

as large as most countries are, I'd say that there's always going to be the extremes.

I think that as a culture, there are disfunctional things that would cause all of the above, namely that we are looking at the first generation that won't do financially better than their parents.

The American dream has always been go forth and gather wealth, and we're starting to reach a point where parent's are doing so much that that goal isn't instilled into their children, so yeah, the consequence is naggy self-centered people. With them not wanting to push forward, we're seeing the stagnant blech that can only be described as idle terrorism.

Notice, he's always describing them as "chosen" so he's still choosing the best, he just went somewhere else to do it.

As a woman, i feel there is some truth and and some falseness to this.. I think society has built an impression on marriage these days that is beyond any realistic world. Woman do tend to be selfish and "love" for the wrong reasons, i.e. money, freedom, laziness... I personally don't believe that any of those "things" have anything to do with true love and true happiness.. however i have seen about 3 of my girlfriends get married for those sad reasons... the 1st thing you think before the wedding is divorce and its sad. Although, i can't compare to foreign woman and relationships, but i have heard about women in general they tend to share the same qualities.

I'm an American woman married to a foreign man for over 4 years. So far, we're doing fine.

You could say the EXACT same about American men - they think of themselves and their beer first and will leave a woman in a heartbeat for a younger cutie. You can generalize all you want. Most people are only worried about how individuals relate directly with them.

yes, there are some women like that in America, which is sad. But I said some. Me, I would never do any of those things listed above to a man if I really loved him. See the problem is, people are divorcing more and more because they don't take the time to find out if they really love the person or not. You need to be with someone you can really understand, get along with, and share things with and are ready to spend the rest of your life with. Most American women aren't the way you described above if you are really dedicated to taking time to find the right woman for you. My advice: just watch out for women like that, because not all are like that. Hope that helped.

I've been around the world, and yes, the general consensus is that American women are pretty terrible, but that doesn't mean that overall they're the worst. It's sort of a stereotype us Americans have created (our divorce rates, infidelity rates, marriage counseling, domestic violence, etc. all backs up the hype). When compared to foreigners, American women seem to be more consumer oriented (buy me this; we need to save for that; why are we still renting?; can we get some new furniture?) but foreign women (particularly Asian and Latin) tend to be way more family oriented, which isn't necessarily better, just different.

I would not say that all American women are like that. Older American women are less likely to be that way. I don't do any of those things so it is just a generalization. However, I do see alot of younger girls who do things that I find unacceptable as a female. But, I came from a different generation.
