There should never be a required payment, but there is usually a traditional "stole fee" or stipend offered. You need to ask the parish. The secretary who answers the phone can tell you.

If cost is an issue, let them know. Just don't be cheap- pay if you can. Religion is free, but life isn't. Depending on the parish, the money goes into the general fund or may go to the priest or deacon...they don't make very much ( I work for a PASTOR of 2 churches who makes less than $20K a year- AND has to fund his own retirement account, pay his medical, life and auto insurance, make a car payment etc...) The stipends help make ends meet...whether it goes to the church or the cleric!

Not much. Talk to your priest. Any costs would be associated with your training as a parent who will rear his/her child in the Catholic faith. The costs may include your standard donation to the diocese or parish, but the biggest cost may be the food you'll have to buy when you have your party to celebrate the Sacrament!

The Bible says that we must repent before we are baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgivenes of our sins, Then we will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in an unknown language. Acts 2:38. Don't criticize me, God is the one that had it written, I,m just the messenger. And this doesn't cost a thing!!

Nothing. The Church provides pre-baptism instruction for the parents and godparents. At the baptism itself it is customery to offer the priest or deacon a small stipend for his time, if the baptism is held outside of normal church hours. In my parish baptisms are usually held at the principal Mass on Sunday morning, but some are held privately.

It didn't cost me anything to have my kids baptized in the Catholic Church.

If in doubt, you can call the rectory office and make sure, though.
