We have known each other a year. I don't care about this stuff..but I just wonder if as someone close to him, I shd know this for knowledge sake? Not that I am curious, but he hasn't mentioned either. It'll be nice to know though, for information sake. But how to ask without sounding like I am prying, or materialistic, when I am not either. In the time we have known each other, I have been in 2 different jobs, and both times, on my own, I told him how much I am being paid. It just made me feel close to him to share this.

So if he hasn't shared, does it mean he doesn't want to?

It probably means he hasen't given much thought to it. Ask him in a casual way, if he dosen't want to talk about it then he wont. He might think you have your eye on something expensive you'd like as a gift though.

Probably so, maybe you should try it some time as well. Why fix something that isn't broke? I know that you may enjoy telling him your financial situation, but if you've been around him then you should know that he may or may not be comfortable with telling you or anyone else for that matter.

If I were you I wouldn't ask him how much he makes, what you can ask him though is what type of job he does, and then do your own research from there.

Good luck!

You don't need to know unless you are getting married or living together and have to work out expenses etc. You not knowing this information, just shows you are not materialistic. I wouldn't come out and ask. If he chooses to share, then you listen. At this point, he may not feel you need to know. We as women just like talking about everything with our men. So, they tend to find out this stuff way before us. Don't worry about it.

To me, That might make me feel like youre materialistic and youre with me for the money I make, But All guys are different, I think its better off if you leave it alone, But the longer youre with him I guess its best to know everything about eachother and feel comfortable telling eachother personall things.

It wouldn't be hard to figure out how much he makes. If he has a trade, then there is a set rate per hour for what ever. If he is doing a minimum wage job, then find out what that is. If it bothers you that much, then just ask him how much he makes per hour. It isn't that big of a deal. I have had people ask me that before.

If he hasn't told you it means he isn't making much...your riding the minimum wage train to trailer parksville. Ask him he'll probably be embarrased

Your being silly. If he wants you to know he will tell you. If you get married and need to make a budget then maybe you need to know.

Dump him, DUMP HIM NOW! He is trash, he is fodder. You're his "sugar-momma" in training. He's prepared to use you like a condom.
