Because they continue to be deceived by the master deceiver into thinking that there lifestyle is acceptable to God. Scripture is clear that this is not the case. I feel incredible sorrow for those that are duped by Satan into the lifestyles they have chosen. These are people for whom salvation is being blocked by Satan so that he may use these people for his purposes. I believe this even though I am sure that there are multitudes who will disagree with me. Satan's demons have acted on these unfortunate people and they have been overwhelmed by these demons. Do not for a minute believe Satan will not respond to any efforts of these individuals to break the bonds he has placed on them. I pray for all individuals burdened with this issue.

Why do so called Christians always judge people. Does the bible not also say thou shall not judge? If a gay person lives a loving and moral life, and breaks no laws then how are we to condemn him? If there is a God and God is offended then that is that, if God doesn't care, neither should we. Mind your own business and don't worry about what goes on in other people's bedrooms. It doesn't effect you in the least. Homosexual people don't give a crap about what you do in bed, and you should take the same non-discriminatory attitude.

Why do fundamentalist Xtians think they have the corner on knowing what God wants in the world?

The Bible is riddled with errors and mistranslations. If God were to put words into a book I would think God would choose a book that didn't have as many gaping errors in it as the Bible does.

Not to mention that not only do we not have any originals of the texts, we don't even have copies of the copies of the copies of the copies of the copies of the copies of the copies.

Anything could have gotten in there in the interim.

The words that exist in English translations as 'homosexual' have been mistranslated from the originals. If you really are interested in the sources of this information, I'd be happy to supply the links.

The Bible has been used to justify everything from slavery to abuse of spouses. You can find any verse to justify any irrational stance you choose.

One final question: how do you suggest a 'homosexual change his ways'? Therapy? All reputable organizations recognize that lesbians and gay men are every bit as emotionally sound as their heterosexual counterparts. Prayer? Oh, please. If prayer made a gay man straight, then there would be far fewer gay people on the planet. I prayed for years for God to change me into a straight man. I begged. I wept. I pleaded. I fasted. After many years I finally realized that God was not going to change my orientation. But, if I was willing to work with God, I could begin to heal the hatred that had been instilled in me by society and the church for years.

So don't give me any of your 'God hates fags' malarkey.

Been there. Done that.

I am not a homosexual but i think i will try to answer your question. The reason why they think they will go to heaven is because they are not being as judgemental as you are by asking this question. I am not saying this is correct or wrong, but you trying to be more of a spokesperson for a trip to heaven is (no offense) too lame. There is a funny story that came to my mind that i heard long back. The story goes...there was a lady who would count the number of men coming to her neighbor's house everyday. The reason she would do that is because that neighbor happens to be a prostitute and this lady wanted to count the number of men that prostitute would welcome everyday. Then came a day when people had to go to heaven and guess who couldnt go to heaven.....not the prostitute but the lady who would spend 24 hours counting the number.
Its a crazy story but the bottom line is that, when it comes to questions like...heaven & hell, we humans tend to be too judgemental and not see our own mistakes & hatred, and try to judge people easily. Heaven need not be like a trip to bahamas, its a state of peace. How can one achieve that after this life when there is so much judgement and hatred filled in onesown mind.

Why do Christians think they can disobey a direct order from Jesus (at least 3 times in the Bible He says that in order to go to Heaven you need to sell everything you own and give to the poor. And no, He's not joking, and yes, He meant it THAT way, so don't try to bend it to suit your desire not to sell everything you own.) and still think they can go to Heaven? If you have disobeyed His order, then you're not any better than any homosexual.

I believe in God, just not the bizzaro god of the Old Testament. What you are asking homosexuals to do is live a lie. If you don't know yourself then how can God know you?

Jesus said, "When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty." ~The Gospel of Thomas

Only gays can go to Heaven, no need to change their ways because it's a brilliant gay club underneath the arches at Charing Cross in the City of London UK.

They probably suspect that God isn't Paul or some primitive desert scribe. Maybe they make Him out to be a little bigger than a run of the mill bigot.

What makes you think we all believe in your omnipotent creator being? I don't, and I'm Buddhist and I'm not in the slightest bit interested in your version of ethics which is usually judgmental and cruel, compared to Buddhist ethics which are about altruism and wisdom and tell us NOT to be judgemental towards others, except where DISCERNMENT is necessary (as in this case of my reply to you) to put the brakes on the harm and suffering your hypocrisy causes.

I think it's the same reason the people eating at Red Lobster think that. Probably the same reason people who work on the Sabbath (Whatever day it really is) think it as well. And I'm sure it's the same reason that all those men who get haircuts think it.

I think they can. Maybe because they have had that revealed to them from God. I don't really think God cares. Maybe He does, but it seems like such a tiny thing for the omipotent, omniscient God of All Things to send someone to hell over.
