Girls, here's the scenario:

You have been experiencing a great deal of pain lately. You have a breakdown and just lay in bed crying your heart out. Your boyfriend gets home and finds you lying in bed crying. He holds you in his arms, gives you advice, and literally kisses your tears away.

You break out crying very hard. This is the first time your boyfriend has ever seen you this way. He just can't hold it in. He can't bare seeing you this way. His eyes tear up. One of his tears falls on your face, and you notice it. He isn't weeping, but silently tearing.

1. What would you girls think if your boyfriend teared up a little bit because he couldn't bare to see and feel you suffering?

2. Would you think of him as less of a man? Would you view it was "weak"?

Just wondering. Thanks

Crying does not make you less of a man! I wish society would stop trying to teach this to guys. Emotion does not equal weakness. I've been in a somewhat similar situation, and it was absolutely touching to know that it hurt my male best friend that much to see me suffering. If only more men could be so sweet and sensitive to their partner's needs and feelings.

I would think that it is a nice thing that he cares enough to have that amount of trust in you to show you that side of him and the fact that he can't bare to see you in pain, just lets you know how much he wants you to be happy..it makes him no less of a man and I would not view it as weak at all, if anything it is showing his strength..

Aww! Reading that made me cry! You're very lucky! Because of society today some men find it hard to cry. But the fact that he cried because he saw how much pain you were in shows how much he cares about you!

I would love it if my boyfriend could do that, but some guys have a harder time letting go of the stereotypes!

If my boyfriend started to tear up, just because I was pained and suffering emotionally, I would not think him as less of a man. Seeing a man you love cry makes the relationship and bond stronger, in my opinion, because now, he can really open up to you.
Personally, I think a man that cries is more of a man that one that lies. =)

It's not weakness at all. He sounds like a good man. Crying isn't a sign of weakness, it shows he has a heart. What's more is that he has a heart for you.

I would think it was really, really sweet. If a guy was to cry cause I was crying and didn't want to see me that way I would never view him as week. I would know at that moment that he really does love and care for me.

Um, NO!! I'd think him even more of a man. It shows that he isn't afraid to show emotions. Plus, it just proves that he really, really loves you. I'd kill to have someone like that with me! Omigod, that is really sweet! <3

I don't think it's weak at all... it just shows that he cares enough about me that he's affected when it's me that's in pain.
