I don't understand why you and your son picked up the argument since your partner started it. You should have dropped as soon as he left. End or discussion.

If you have problems with him - by all means deal with him, not your son. I would suggest a family counselor with your partner. Good luck sweetie!

You have to be able to put an end to the jealousy of your boyfriend over your son. He is trying to put a wedge between you and your son because he is plain jealous. Instead of feeding into his juvenile plans to make you stop getting along with your son dont allow yourself and tell your son not to react either. With effort eventually he may succeed in hurting your relationship with you son. I say either he stops his childish mean spirited efforts or give his a** a bit of help with a pointed boot. I hope you didnt mean real bullets????? I thought that was just an expression. If its not get the heck out of that relationship. Oh to heck with being polite , get rid of the man. Set yourself free. If a man doesnt make you feel good about yourself and your son should feel good with him too then hes not worth it.

I can not even imagine what excuse you must use to stay.but it will only get worse. If you had a daughter and she asked you the same question what would you tell her? Surely you see how it really is but that is your life.
If he had killed your son with that shot would you still say but we get along fantastically when he is not around?

You stay because he is your husband, and this is your family. these are very valuable things, usually. My guess is you married your husband because you loved him.

Now though, you need to go. Most murder/gunshot victims are killed or hurt by someone they know.

It is not worth hanging around to see if that will be you, or your son.

YOU NEED TO GO.

I have no clue, don't even know you to be able to form an opinion. but if I guessed, it would be that you really are unsure of your life.
Find a new direction.
