I have had birds for years & have had 3 of them pass away. I made a burial spot in my backyard. I always put a big rock on the spot after I bury them so animals dont dig them up. If you dont have a place to bury your budgie you can call your vet and they can usually dispose of the body or refer you to a service that will cremate the body. I am sorry for your loss!

If you can't stand burying Budgie Boy yourself, call the local vet and ask them if they dispose of dead pets and how much to take a beloved budgie off your hands.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I've dealt with two animal deaths so far. With the first wild bird that died in my care, I buried her in my back yard.
With the recent passing of one of my lovebirds, I was offered the opportunity of cremation since she passed on at the emergency vet's. It depends really on your personal preference. Some people think after an animal dies, the body's just a "hunk of meat", so tossing it into a garbage bag is no big deal. I beg to differ from that thought, and I decided to have my lovebird cremated and get her ashes back in a small graphite urn and she's now sitting in my bedroom. I love this because I may now only have four lovebirds physically, but I'll always have something of my little girl to remember. Pictures just aren't enough to me, you know?

By the way, she was about 50 grams and it cost $50 to get her ashes back from Gateway Pet Memorials. I highly recommend them. They were very friendly and when the time comes, I plan on getting my other pets cremated.

This question should be directed at all death row prisoners in order to get an honest answer. So far, the jury (yuk yuk yuk) is still out but from the husband's point of view you cut her head off and a. throw her in the bay b. throw her in the woods. This seems to most effective when she can't begin to defend herself while pregnant or sleeping. Have you heard of cryrogenics? It's very expensive for a human body but you can do it in your own home freezer. Put him in a little zip lock bag and keep him there until modern science learns to bring us back from the dead and then do it to your birdie.

you dont want to risk getting any other animal sick so it may not be best to burry it just incase something digs it up. your local vet has a deep freezer just for animals that have died. the frozen animals are picked up by purina every week and taken back to their facility where they cremate them. this is the safest for the environment. what killed your budgie could kill other birds and animals as well.

im so sorry to hear about your loss

If you own your own house and have a yard then take it outside and bury it in the yard. You might wanna wrap it in a pillow case or something. If you don't have your own yard then you can have it cremated at the vets office. There's a charge for it. Don't know how much. Then they will ask you if you want the ashes. Sorry about your bird.

Veternarians usually will take the body and cremate it.If not bury it in your yard be sure to sprinkle it with baking soda so a cat doesn't dig it up.
Sorry about your birdie.

you could bury it in your yard, or maybe take it to a local vet, even if you've never been there before because i'm sure their used to disposing of pets.
