I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner, and 2 days after I wash my hair, it's oily again! Any suggestions?

If I wash my hair every day, my hair gets frizzy, and my anti-frizz stuff makes my hair even oilier! Nightmare!

Yes, it may seem gross, but it is actually very healthy to go as long as you can without washing your hair. I have had extensions for the past two years and can only wash my hair about once a week. I know it's disgusting, but my hair is so much healthier than it has ever been.
To keep the oiliness under control I use Bumble and Bumble hair powder. It's difficult and messy to work with, but once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad. It even comes in different colors to match your hair. Down side is it costs about $20 for a two ounce bottle. Sadly this is the only option for me, as my hair is really dark. But if you are lucky and have blond or very light hair, you can just use corn starch! It's actually the main ingredient in the B&B hair powder, and it only costs like $3 for a large container. Sprinkle a small amount and work it through your hair with a brush or comb. I always stand in the shower to keep the powder from getting all over the floor. It's also a good idea to only wear a bath robe so you don't get it on your clothes.

I didn't mean for this to be so long. Sorry! But I hope you find it somewhat helpful.

First of all, Pantene is the worst shampoo to use. It contains wax that coats your scalp. And you've got it good if your hair is oily after 2 days, I wash my hair at night (EVERYDAY) and by the middle of the next day it's already starting to get oily.

yes well maybe your hair is naturally very oily and maybe you put too much greasy products on it.

You should just wash it every day when you take your shower or if you don't have time, i read in a magazine once that you could comb some baby powder in to soak up the oil. Never tried it but it sounds plausible. Good luck!

switch shampoos. use herbal essence. use the degunkify one...ive never used it..but u probably could. and if ur hair gets oily after 2 days....thats natural so stop complaining...how hard is is it to wash ur hair everytime u take a shower...dump ur head in the water....pour some shampoo....and then use some conditioner. u probably have straight hair...so that makes it even more easier for u.

I have the same issue. Try a shampoo designed for oily hair and skip the conditioner. What you are experiencing sounds about right for the length of time it should last.

I also use shampoo intended for horses. It works very well and is not that expensive.

Wash your hair every day with a shampoo for oily hair.

I don't think it would be very hygienic to go that long without washing your hair in the first place. Mine gets oily after one day of not washing it, so I wash my hair everyday. My mom washes her hair every other day because hers gets too dry when she washes it too much. I wouldn't go any longer than every other day.

Maybe you should wash your hair everyday. I use Pantene too. Maybe you should try a different shampoo, the same shampoo isn't right for everyone.

If it get frizzy when you wash it everyday then i would just suggest changing shampoos that will help with frizzy hair and wash it everyday!! Just my opinion but it is gross to wait 2 days to wash your hair!!

Mine can't even go 1 day w/o washing, but keep in mind that it's your scalp that gets oily, not your hair, so work that shampoo in your scalp and when you condition, just condition from your ears down. Keep that up, and the oil that your scalp produces should calm down. Good luck!
