The Buddas tour, the Imperial Palace, the floating market, the Mai Tais (they were invented at the Oriental Hotel), places like Sirrocco with a whole view of the city and Silom Village. People are friendly there, it's a great cultural experience.

Bangkok has something to offer anyone. Whether its a day touring all the temples. Shopping. Go Go bars. Decadent night life. Lady boy shows. Or seeing the freaks walk by on Kho San road.

I like the air pollution and traffic jams, but hey, thats just me... the foods not bad, the Thai people are fun.. movies, great music around, buffets that will knock your socks off... or at least you'll be too full to bend over and put them on - but of course, the weather is great, so you can just put on sandals as the mood is tropical and relaxed ... and now that you are too fat to get into a bar, you are off the hook - - so to speak..

The convenience. The stores aren't far away and there's many means of transportation such as buses, taxis, boats, and the sky train. Also, I like how I can understand their accent. Some places like Chiang Mai, I can't understand.
JJ market is another plus, and so is Siam Paragon.
There's also fresh fruit around every corner and Cha yen around every other corner.
