I think you should introduce yourself and offer to show him around town and take him somewhere fun! Best of luck =)

Just tell your friends to introduce. Dont ever make yourself look desperate. Find someone who knows him and from there catch on to get to him. But dont make yourself too obvious. Good luck ;-)
