Right now I'll drink 5-6 cups of decaffeinated, unsweetened green tea. Am I still at risk of kidney stones, or any other health effects. I would also like to drink more if it won't screw me up

No, you shouldn't be at risk of kidney stones. Kidney stones usually occur from a lack of water. Since decaffenated herbal tea is one good way of getting water. (It's just water with herbs infused in it.) You are getting close to the recommended daily amount of water just from the amount of tea you drink. (Eight 8.oz cups of water is recommended) And green tea is one of the best teas to drink. It contains antioxidents, which is of great health benefit. There are other health benefits to green tea as well. But I would not, however, drink more than the 5-6 cups green tea a day. (I assume you mean the green tea you brew and not the bottled snapple type) If you want more liquid, after the 6 cups, then shoot for straight up water. Plain fresh water will help flush any toxins out of your system.

You would be at risk of kidney stones by drinking a lot of tea and eating ice cream at the same time. It will not happen if you do this once in a while, but you could get the stones by doing this on a near daily basis. I do not understand why this happens, but I was told by my doctor this can happen.

Green tea is great, better no caffeine. It has a lot of anti oxidants. If you are a healthy person you shouldn't have any trouble.
