The weather is mainly chanigng becasue of global warming, or the greenhouse effect. What is goingto happen in the next 20 years is still unsure becasue for many scientists global warming is still a new idea and much more research needs to be done. The main possibility though is the continuance warming of the planet will cause the polar ice caps to melt, then causing a rise in ocean levels putting many coastal cities underwater. this rise in the water will casuse the climate to turn cold becasue the sun will not be able to heat the water causing a change in ocean patterns and sending the earth into another ice age. Take into consideration that this will take hundreds of years to happen. But the processes has already begun.

The weather, and even the climate, is in a constant state of flux. Local sources of pollution are best dealt with locally.
