I have brown hair, and I want to darken it without dying it. Is there some type of food that helps out your hair, or some shampoo that acaully helps with darkening?

I recently dyed my hair red with koolaid. You can basically dye it any color depending on its darkness (do nor recommend for dark brown/black) What you do is mix two packs (3/4 for thicker hair) or UNSWEETENED koolaid in a bowl with a DROP of water and some conditioner. Mix until it is like a paste. For highlights have someone take a mascara brush through your hair (Suggest gloves unless they want to dye their hands) or else they just rub it though your hair. Put vaseline around your hairline and ears to avoid skin stains. Then they can wrap the hair in tin foil for highlights and ceran wrap for all over color. Leave in for 6-12 hours, the longer the darker. I suggest sleeping in it with a towel on your pillow just in case. Then take a long shower b/c if you don't get it all out, your hair will be greasy. Then you have exotic color! It takes a few weeks to fade and doesnt ruin your hair unless it has sugar in it, and to get it out quicker use toothpaste. I hope this helps, good luck!

Well there's no food you can eat to change your hair color. But, there are shampoos that can bring out your color. You can find them at any drugstore. If you're brunette, try John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette shampoo, conditioner, and styling products. =]
