Problem is not necessarily of absolute size but of making sure each new room is accesible and has a window.

As far as I'm aware there are no particle size restrictions on the size of a bedroom, however to truly make an extra bedroom there are certain requirements that must be met,it must have independent access " it cannot be accessed through another bedroom", it must have a closet, an egress window in the event of a fire, and it must have heat.

the building codes for your area will address size requirementsfor a bed room.and you should know that all residential building codes (and common sense) require a window, for a secondary means of egress, before a room may be used for a bed room.
