Have you tried Make-A-Wish foundation? They don't turn wishes down. I know about it because I used to have leukemia.

That's terrible that they turned him down. Find another organization that will grant him his wish. There is more than one. Talk to the social worker at the hospital (the family should have been assigned one) and they should be able to help make it happen.

Sometimes they turn these types of requests down because TOO many kids want that same thing...but I think that is terrible that a president can't take 15 minutes of his time to do this...but it's also a hard thing to pull off because the president could be called away at any time.

The very least they could do is have staff send him a letter "written" by the president, or a taped video of him saying something to this kid.

Try to see if you can get something like that arranged instead.

My son wanted to meet his favourite band and those jerks haven't even bothered with a reply. I am so angry that I could just spit! AT least say no, if the answer is no. Bloody PR people I bet it never even made it to the band.

I’m not a big fan of the president but your friends Wish is to see the President then He Should.

I think this President has a Heart and can feel compassion I guess? When he wants!

Good Luck!
To you and your friend, he will be in my prayers.

Make a wish foundation DO turn down wishes, they turned down my daughters first wish which was to go to Paris...Some bull about her not being old enough to travel over seas (she is almost 9)......I have no idea how you would go about getting your friend to meet the president. (other people have good ideas about local congress and other political members) I think he (your friend) should be encouraged to do something else, just incase he cant get his wish. I know it would be dissapointing, my little girl is still getting a wish (a holiday) but I know how much she wanted Paris. Good luck and I think its really special you are trying to help

Write the stupid president and congress, to partake in this little boys dying wish, I think he can take time away from killing our soldiers and playing with oil to do something really GOOD

I hope it works out for him, but the president is a jack a$$ and probably doesnt think its worth his time. Maybe the make a wish foundation had stipulations, and things that they just cant do, I would take it up with the foundation itself, and remember they do all of this off of donations, they are probably doing the best they can

Get in contact with your local congressional representative. Senators will have more clout, but will be much harder to get ahold of. House representatives will have an office in their home district for constituent services. You can look up your representative on the internet, at www.house.gov. On their own profile on that site they will have a section marked constituent services, which is where you can find their contact info. I think that might be your best bet.

Good luck!

write to the president and tell him your story. If that doesn't work go to kennebunkport, ME.....(i think that's it)......and go to his father's (George Bush SR.) house and ask him to contact bush in some way. I'm sorry to hear about your friend.......one thing to do to make him feel better if he is losing (or lost) his hair from chemo therapy.....shave your heads so he doesn't feel so misfitted. I heard of a bunch of people doing this for their friend with leukemia and it made him very happy.......well I hope your friend gets his wish :)

This may do absolutely nothing, but you can try emailing the V.P.'s office.

Good luck! I certainly hope you can pull this off! My thoughts and prayers are with you.
