Buy candles, dress up, and make your own dinner

My husband and I have been married almost eleven years and been together for thirteen. I can still say that my most romantic evenings were when we use to go to the rivers edge and look at the city skyline. It was beautiful at night. We would usually go out to eat and then down there to just talk. Money doesn't buy a good evening together. Good conversation, plenty of humor and laughter, and just being comfortable together make for a good time. Don't worry about being low on funds, just relax and enjoy being in the moment. You are a sweet person just being so concerned with this. You could also go somewhere out in the country and build a campfire and take a blanket, one to sit on and one to put around her shoulders...turn some Al Green on, or Marvin Gaye and you are sure to have a romantic time....

Depends on your date and the kind of person they are. Start the night with a packed picnic dinner, blanket and living room floor, couple of candles, then a walk someplace, out for a drink, or just out to have a cup of coffee and a slice of pie. ice cream and a rented movie. pizza and a walk anything can be romantic if you just put a little thought into it.

Picnic in the park, boating on a lake (you could probably find paddle boats the rent for cheap) candlelight dinner at home, starlight walk through a park, etc.
Anything that both of you enjoy can be done for a reasonable price if you try.

Make dinner, rent a movie, candles and a bubble bath, read to each other, find a dark field and look for constellations and shooting stars, check your local newspaper. Sometimes there are free events; I know in my hometown they have a free Shakespeare production in the park every year. Hope this helps!

Instead of having dinner try just going to a coffee shop. Or to get a few drinks at your fav. place. Not all women expect that you spend alot of money to have fun. Rent a few movies and and cook at your place. No big deal.

Picnic .......... snacks & drinks under the stars by candle light. It doesn't matter where. Just make sure YOU have all of your lights off if you're at home. Ask him to tell you stories about when he was younger... happy stories, funny stories.

Romance is not born in the pocketbook, it comes from the heart and soul of someone who is in love! I am sure that if you are earnest in your endeavor to please your partner with a simple meal, a nice flower and the soft and tender words we all love to hear, you will have great success!
