Lindt is available at most grocery stores, Borders the bookstore sells their truffles individually, and Lindt is also available at Walmart and Target. If you have a Gottschalks or Robinsons-May department store in your area, they sell Godiva chocolate in small quantities.
But honestly, I'd get more creative than just buying her chocolate she can eat, she may think you're trying to make her fat (if she's that kind of drama queen). Try chocolate-scented soaps or perfume or lip gloss, and don't buy her some cheesy $2 lip gloss, go for the Just Dessert stuff by Jessica Simpson, tastes great, looks pretty, and it's calorie and fat-free!!! Yay! I'm just saying that flowers, candy, and jewelry is old-school. Think about a gift that really taps into something that is uniquely her. Think about something that sets her apart from everyone else. For example, I love making things out of glass beads. If someone I liked got me some really beautiful, unique beads that were one of a kind, or even if the color was one of a kind, I'd just love it! You have a brain Dude, use it! She'll appreciate your thoughtfulness! Good luck!

Most of the supermarket have Lindt chocolates (from Switzerland). Either different flavored chocolate bars or Truffles. This chocolate is exquisite, rich and creamy.

If you want to impress a girl DeBrands Chocolate is the way to go. It will cost you a little bit but it will be worth it in the end. DeBrands also has shops where you can sit down and have deserts. If you really want to impress her find the nearest DeBrands in your location and take her there. Good luck.

I personally like light chocolate and a bag of Hersey kisses would be wonderful. Years ago my boss (who knew I like chocolate) gave me for my birthday all types of chocolate from the grocery store like; a 6 pk. of Hersey bars, a six pk of Hersey Bars with almonds, a Giant Hersey bar, a bag of Hersey kisses, a bunch (mixture) of different candy bars and a small book on chocolate. It was a wonderful present!

I think Dove makes the best chocolate that you can buy at the grocery store that also looks like something you could give as a gift [as opposed to something you would bake with]
