I have a blackmasked lovebird and 3 days ago his legs were paralized. Did not chase him around his cage and did not harm him in any way? What caused this? eating normal and bowel movements normal.

could mean a stroke, or maybe his diet lacks certain vitamins, because i know that if birds don't have certain vitamans in their diet it can lead to problems, but i think you should search online for more info about it. But i'd get your lovebird to the vet asap!

Some birds get tumors on their legs and this can cause paralysis. I had a parakeet that got one of these and he could no longer stand. I am guessing that is what is going on with your lovebird. Sorry to hear it!

I would think it a small stroke of some sort. Why did you not immediately go to a animal hospital?!

Maybe he has cesures and epolepsy. I know it is nuerogical, or something that has to do with the brain and damage to it. Maybe even a stroke.

Why are you on here asking us? If it was a dog that was paralyzed would you be here instead of on your way to the vet? If it was a cat be here?

Take your bird to a vet, right now!
