Good 3D drafting software?

I need some software to design fairly simple wood structures, such as cabinets or desks.

I'm very computer literate, but I don't know AutoCAD, and it looks much more complicated than what I need. Any suggestions?

AutoCAD is a wonderful area to learn about. It will broaden your knowledge and understanding enormously. It is worth the effort to learn how to use it.

google sketch up is not bad.
