Apparently there is no 'legal' age, it's if the child can be responsible for themselves and would know what to do if an emergency occurs. If someone came to the door would they be able to deal with it? If they are not allowed to answer the door then they are not old enough to be left alone.
I'm talking about the UK not America!!!!

13 for a couple of hours. 14/15 about 4 hours and by 16 you can leave them in charge of other kids, but am sorry, your asking when you can leave your daughter on her own legally because she is driving you mad? something isn't right here

There is no legal limit, at least in Scotland. Not sure if England is the same. You can leave children unsupervised but if they come to any harm then you may be charged with neglect. Someone may report you to social services and they would maybe investigate you.

depends on what state you are in.
most states, 18.
some states 16. Your child just has to be emancipated...which is kind of like getting a divorce from your parents...but the only way a court will let this happen is if a child has means of transportation, an income..a home and a legitiment reason.

Its not just the age you ahave to honestly assess your daughter's ability to cope in a crisis.
Ie if the house was on fire would she not panic and hide or be able to do whatever was necessary to get out?
Can she be trusted not to fry chips and use the cooker or with knives or matches?
If she did set the chip pan on fire would she know not to use water?
Are there neighbours next door who can help etc.

if your daughter is sensible she can be left at home for a short time at 12 years old if you trust her if not the legal age is14 but you have to let go at some point you have to trust them and they must feel they are trusted it is a very fine line good luck

12 but not in charge of other children. For children to legally babysit especially if they are not related to the children they are sitting with.

It depends on where you live.
And frankly...legality is only part of it...if a child is legally old enough it doesn't automatiaclly mean that they are mature enough for that kind of responsibility.
