Straight and simple...I messed up the relationship, and he tried his hardest to piece it back together, I wanted more time, and within one monthI find out hes engaged to his ex girlfriend... I love him more than anything in the world and screwed up, so I DO know it is my fault (just for the record i did not cheat, i just needed time that he couldnt give me) but how do I forget? Any suggestions on how to quit hurting?

Accept what happened no matter how it hurt. I know this is hard, I have actually been in one of this. I had to tell myself it wasn't meant to be. Yes, he was everything I was looking for but he belonged to someone else. And I believe that if two people are meant to be, they will be the one in the end. So, accept that it didn't work out, you screwed up, but it's not the end of the world, your still breathing! So girl we got to live it.

So, within one month he gave a ring to his ex? I must tell you that I don't think you can blame yourself for all this. It is his doing too.

I think there are three steps that you need to follow now:

1) Make a list of things that he lacked/that your relationship lacked. What could have been better? Were all of your needs met? What would you like to change?

2. Realize that it takes two to tango, and maybe you just weren't made for each other. You will need to stop talking to/seeing him, at least for a while.

3. Get a new life, new hobbies, maybe new friends. Join a language course. I did that, and it was great. =) Work out, swim and do other things that make you feel better!

Eventually, this old love will start to fade and one day you will wake up and realize that the sun is shining again.

You go girl! Fill your calendar with lots of interesting, new stuff. Good luck!

ok, You must start a search of Your Self, meaning Your inner self. Do You truly know You? It seems to me You lived the other significant's one life instead of Your own... You should get into new activities and try to develop Your Own social life much more
