Granite typically has larger crystals of several different colors. Marble will be finer grained with smaller crystals and more swirls

the only difference that distinguishes between granite and a marble is that granite contains quartz crystals in it, this usually results marble being softer at times such as crema marfil

Granite would appear very corse (to the eye, not the touch), while marble would appear smooth.
