yeah, you should buy a bigger cage, or another maybe smaller cage that they can get to from their old cage so they have the option of getting away from each other every now and then
i wouldn't recomend getting a third bird, but if you do you should keep it in a separate cage until the other 2 get used to it, and maybe if your 2 birds r the same gender you should get a bird with the same gender as them so they won't fight over the new bird, cus that'd be bad:(

Wow, that's a real hard one.. Obviously you should NOT buy a 3rd bird, cause then you will have 3 birds that fight. Resolve the issues your birds have now before even considering it. Unless you like them fighting, and encourage it, then that my friend would be abuse.

first off, why do they have only one food and water bowl if they are obviously fighting over it? put in 2 of each at opposite ends of the cage and that should help.
and id say that its silly to have 2 birds in the same cage if its causing a fight! why dont you get another cage? and if your answer is 'i cant afford it' then why, oh why, are you getting another bird?
i hope the food/water dish thing calms them down a bit but you should let them have their own 'territory'.

You have three options:
Buy a bigger cage where the birds will feel more confortable.
(In case theyre both of a different kind) ask a veterinarian if theyre natural enemies.
Or buy a third bird and have larger bird fights(hehe)

no to buy another bird will only create more problems if you have a cock and a hen then they are moore likely to be prepareing to breed then one gets domanireing and they do this to show who is the boss,,if they are a breeding pair then march is the egg laying and nesting time persevere for another month they should quieten down by then

No, don't get another bird. How about getting a larger cage, more food and water containers, and more toys.

Probably not because you do not want three birds fighting that would be worse!
