I think ghosts are souls that cannot let go or move on - just yet.

Some need comfort in knowing that their loved ones who are alive are okay before moving over to the other side while some may have had traumatic deaths, just don't realise that they have died or cannot let go of the trauma.

Also there's another idea on ghosts... some people see a whole bunch of ghosts from the past re-living their daily duties. I think it could be a sort of 'reflection' or 'mirror' from the past crossing between the presence without meaning to. Like overlapped exposure from your camera.

Call me a nutter if you want but that's just my opinion.

There are so many mysteries yet unsolved and sometimes best to be left alone.

Ghosts are not real. Yes, there might be "spiritual" occurrences, but these are not ghosts. The Bible talks about evil spirits. Evil can pass itself off as good, and there are many deceivers out there trying to say that ghosts are people not ready or able to go "home" to God. Sylvia Browne is one. Her views are so far out there it isn't even funny. As for Heaven or Hell, we will ALL go to God's presence to be judged by God someday. Where we go from there is up to Him. There is no in-between stage (ghosts). For those who claim to have seen or experienced ghosts, I believe that they are experiencing an evil spirit who is mimicing someone who once lived in order to take our focus off of God, and the teachings of the Bible, where it belongs.

Who told you that some people become ghosts while others go to heaven/hell? That's untrue ;). EVERYONE either goes to heaven or hell, and no one becomes ghost.
Have you ever seen a ghost yourself, though?

no one becomes a ghost. Your spirit or soul does not walk around (or float about) after you die. If you believe in ghosts and God, then you're probably Catholic, but I'm not.

Some have unfinished business so they stay. Like my brother, he died young before his kids grew up so he stayed to make sure they're ok. I didn't believe in ghosts before, but he's really at his house, there's no denying it for anyone who goes there.

The Holy Ghost is the only one that I believe in.

Matthew 3:11 - I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Matthew 12:31 - Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Alright its simple the ghost itself is a imprint of that persons soul. For instance a maids imprint is to serve (acually happens in hotels, and motels)

God: Another dead soul.

Satan: He's been bad, come with me!

God: No, he's been a good one.

Satan: Bad!

God: Good!

Satan: Bad!

God: Good!

Satan: Good!

God: You can't pull a Bugs Bunny off me.

Satan: Yes I can.

God: No you can't!

Satan: No you can't!

Ghost: So umm... I guess I'm stuck here till they stop fighting and figure out what to do with me.

And that explains everything you ever needed to know.
