ABSOLUTELY YES
I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

An hour on the elliptical might sound like a good idea but you really should not do cardiovascular exercise more than 45 minutes a day and 5 days a week. Doing too much cardio actually eats away at your muscle mass and while the elliptical puts much less stress on your joints than the treadmill, doing it everyday isn’t the best idea. You need to give your body time to repair itself so when you go everyday, you don’t. And like everyone else had said, you want to make sure that you are taking in less than you burn.

Good luck!

There are factors that play a key functionality in this. like the quantity of energy you take in an afternoon and your metabolism. in case you're taking interior the conventional 2000 energy an afternoon and burn six hundred, with a quickly metabolism there's a great opportunity which you will drop some weight, with a sluggish metabolism there's a great opportunity which you will no longer lose as plenty. yet another factor is that in case you have earlier lost weight and your physique has adapted to you taking in as many energy as you do and burning the comparable volume, it fairly is going to assist you no longer drop some weight yet to maintain the burden. in my view i do no longer have confidence the desktops on the elipticals or treadmill anymore because of the fact, my cellular telephone clocked my a million mile sprint at 6:40, and the treadmill clocked me at 10:02 and that i began the cellular telephone in the previous the treadmill, so becareful once you're looking at them. desire this enables!!

Yes you can. Using an elliptical machine is a good cardio exercise. You will want to challenge your self as you get familiar with the machine. Like you said with good eating habits, you will be able to lose weight. Doing a hour is great. For toning like say your arms and abs you may want to try a workout, like using weights. But like I said yes you can lose weight by using an elliptical machine.

Standard Rule: If you burn more calories than you take in, you will lose weight.
1 hour a day is a good workout, just make sure you are eating right and watching your calorie intake.

definitely. but if you exercise with that machine everyday, who'll get burnt-out with it and your body will not respond to any challenges it give. so to loose weight try doing different exercises every wk. example: eliptical, jogging outside, strengthening exercises, cycling, then you repeat the circuit. good luck!

If you eat the same amount of calories that you did before adding in the exercise, then yes. You, however, won't build muscle mass to increase your caloric needs. Remember, the less you weigh, the less fuel you need.

If you go at a good clip using the arm levers you could burn as much as 800-900 calories per day. Over time it would add up and you would improve your cardiovascular conditioning
