You can use this stuff called PALMADE.
it works great when your hair is wet, rub some through your strands and then curl it..

in the 1940's women often had eaither short, curly hair..which was bouncy and VERY gorgeous or they wore it in a bun which is fashionable and still yet classy.

you can buy palmade at your local drug store for around $7 dollars depending on location.

You could try to use a hair cream that keeps your hair shiny and bouncy. Try this, use the hair cream, (or conditioner) and rub it onto the very bottom of your roots and massage the conditioner down to the bottom of your hair.

Make sure that at the end you keep the hair flicked up, so that in the end you get the foxy/housewife flick.

P.S You could use sunsilk because it keeps your hair bouncy, (the blue one)
