Don't overthink the diet. Pretty much, if you are eating LESS and working out daily, the weight WILL come off. As far as diet, keep it simple:
No sugar or high fructose corn syrup (stay away from anything that has these things in the first 5 ingredients)
No hydrogenated oils
No refined flour---instead do whole grains like whole wheat pasta, bread, oatmeal (not instant)
Stay away from processed foods and eat whole REAL foods....... lots of fruits and veggies.
Don't count fat grams---but to a certain extent, count calories. Try to stay around 1300-1500

I was working out daily and eating NO sugar etc. and wasn't losing weight. Once I started really watching how MUCH I was eating (and it really does add up faster than you think-----It didn't FEEL like I was eating a lot, but I was really just breaking even and *maintaining* my weight) the weight came off. Lessen the intake and you will lose the weight. No crash dieting of course---then you'll lose muscle! Don't go below 1200 calories or your body will go into starvation mode. Then you'll lower your metabolism and just be a mess in the long run.

Hi I have had 3 kids. Ifelt like myself 1 yr after my first a year and a half after my 2nd and 2 years after my 3rd. It depends also on if and when you stopped nursing. I didn't let go of the last bit for 6months after stopped nursing. Stress of taking care of 2 can sloww down things plus hard to do anything consistantly and rest well. Even if you were at your old weight youshould do weight trainig too. My stomach went back fine so i ignored my core muscles ( I actually seperated my stomach muscle so sit ups freaked me out) I am in good shape and ran a marathon between 2 & 3 kids but lack of core strength + exercise = back problems. as for 2 to 3 times a week! After the first 2 week you'll probably feel better and get hooked. You'll probably see results start slowly with in the 1st month. If you keep with it you will be a new person in 3 months..in time for swimsuit! Just eat healthfully and balanced.Make sure you are getting lean protein. If you get hungry choclate ovaltine is filling as well as red peppers and carrots with hummus. I will snak on crackers with peanut butter, frosted shredde wheat dry, or just an apple(apples are natural appetite supressants) Just make sure you aren't dieting too much with your increased exercise. you'll know if after the first 2 weeks you still feel exhausted. Also the pot belly might still not go away for a while.

There is no correct diet for everyone. I think counting calories is a basic guideline. About 2,000 per day is good. Have healthy snacks throughout the day to sustain your appetite. Drink lots of water. I started working out 6 weeks after baby#2 and am back to prepregnancy weight bu doing cardio 3 times a week but it may take longer for some. I think as long as you eat right, read the labels on the food you eat, and exercise regularly...that is good. Results are varied but definitely by 4-6 weeks or maybe even sooner! Good luck!

I am having this same issue.

I purchased that slim in 6 program the dvd work out is good but the diet plan has all of these extra supplements they want you to purchase from them.

For a while I was doing good just dieting...I was eating about 1000 calories a day with little to no exercise and lost a good 10lbs in a month or so. On that cereal diet and healthy choice dinners and soups.

But now I am a stuck. Nothing is working. So i have started to exersice but still am not seeing any results.

I also have a gym membership...and the personal trainers there arent that good but theys hould be able to put you in a direction.

Ask them...when i first started they told me about six weeks going four times a week. Doing 30 min of cardio and 30 min of toning.

soups can be both filling and comforting try making a garden or bean soup with low salt broth and store in portion sized cups for later
