you may not believe this but I asked an afghan myslef. He has told me that the US had previous problems with Iran so, the US would need military personnel ready in neighbouring countries. He has also told me that Iran's president is a nut and will do anything to satisfy his needs. One shocking thing from our interview was that he said the people making videos talking several sentences in arabic aren't even muslim. They just learned some phrases and repeat it over and over. Those sucide bombers aren't muslim ethier they are people from diffirent counties who don't care about any soldiers life or even the afghan people, they just want to kill and kill. One last thing he had mentioned was that Bin Laden was an icon who is a true liar, he portrays muslims as all bad people. Osma Bin he says is not the mastermind of 9/11 it was someone else. Bin Laden had nothing to do with it, and he also said now every time he walks down the street anf people find out he's an afghan he getsharesed

I've been living in Afghanistan for a year now and I can't believe all of the BS you folks are saying and believing.
1. Afgahnistan is not in the Middle East and Afghans are not Arabs.
2. The US took out the Taliban ( and forced Al Quieda to leave the country) because of the dramatic human rights violations of the extremist Islamic Taliban. (Anybody remember the beheadings in the soccer statium in Kabul?)
3. The US probably does want an "overwatch" position in Afghanistan to"keep an eye on" Iran and other countries in the area.
4. The suicide bombers ARE Muslims. The majority are not Afghans.
5. Bin Laden is the real "bad guy".

Well that is the perception around here, but come to think of it, why would Iran try to pick up a fight with the United States, when it still needs to fast-track development?

The US military base is there just to keep tabs on the region and to curb the growing influence of China and Russia on the Asian countries. Iran can probably only threaten Israel, and it is for Israel's sake that the US is pouring so much money on a wasted cause.

And of course, you cannot call all Muslims bad. Even though you cannot say for sure whether the suicide bombers are Muslims or not, they are not doing this in the name of their religion. They just do it to further their cause.

Edit: The Bin Laden and Taliban premise is just a bullsh*t reason that the government has conjured up for the naive public. Why would US care for a bunch of turban clad zealots living in the most inhospitable terrain in the world?

properly it rather is the thought around right here, yet come to think of of it, why could Iran attempt to %. up a combat with u . s . of america, while it nevertheless needs to quickly-music progression? the U. S. militia base is there just to maintain tabs on the area and to decrease the turning out to be impression of China and Russia on the Asian countries. Iran can in all hazard basically threaten Israel, and it rather is for Israel's sake that the U. Edit: The Bin encumbered and Taliban premise is basically a bullsh*t reason that the government has conjured up for the naive public. Why could US safeguard a team of turban clad zealots residing interior the main inhospitable terrain interior the worldwide?

The problem with the theory is that the US has had a large US naval presence in the Persian gulf since WW2 and has had a massive army presence in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait since 1990's so there was no need to invade Afghanistan for bases. Besides the bases in Afghanistan could easily be cut off from the outside world if Iran choose to. As for Osama being innocent well that doesn't wash the man knew about it and claimed responsibility for it long before anyone else did. I am afraid you are the victim of a middle eastern pass time pulling westerners legs.

and
Since when does Kuwait not exist?

I feel bad for the guy that gets harassed he doesn't deserve that and is being harassed by ignorant american's that don't know any better. It's no different than the harassment of any minority group that has went on through all of america's history. It's such a shame that hatered and discrimination is a taught cycle, and one that we need to break.

Invasion of countries had always been for reasons of U.S. economic and strategic interests. The U.S. would't simply waste money to invade a country and get nothing in return. These can be for oil or to build American bases there. Afghanistan is no exception. In fact, there is already an American air base in Afghanistan. That is where Dick Chaney stayed during his visit in Afghanistan. These invasions are of course hidden behind the mask of spreading "freedom and democracy" to the world.

we invaded afghanistan to free the afghani people from the taliban rule and search for al qeada which were training there, Iran had nothing to do with it at the time, Irans voice is getting louder now that we have a presence there, as they see us as a possible threat to thier national security as i would them if they invaded mexico or canada, ask your friend why he left his home country, osama had several hide outs in afghanistan which we got rid of maybe a bit to soon and without proper intel, we cant catch him. pakistan is where we need to be.

For ten years before 9/11 Hamid Karzai hung around Huston with Dick Cheyney trying to sell his plan for an Oil Pipeline across Central Asia. Now he is "President" of Afghanistan.

His brother is also the biggest heroin dealer in the world now.

Arabic is not "the Muslim language". Indeed, hundreds of millions of Muslims don't speak Arabic.

As for Iran, they have a President who refuses to bow to unreasonable pressure. Iran presents no immediate threat to the United States, so we should have no bone to pick with them.

Let the countries in West Asia fend for themselves.
