I have found that religion:

-) Inspires fear. Because of hell, Bible is a bestselling hotcake. No-one wants to die, nor family & friends die & roast like marshmallows.
-) Is depressing. People get addicted to anti-depressants & use drugs to escape the future reality (& present) of loved ones burning. This props up drug companies, but kills human productivity & knowledge.
-) Reduces health. Depressed people live shorter lives & don't do as much.
-) Destroys brotherly love. Religions conflict, conniving ministers convince legions of "warriors for God" that real love is destroying sinners (yet, whilst they still sin, being imperfect)
-) Is confusing. No matter which God or Bible you have, it is always the wrong one, & no 2 people ever agree what is right 100%.

Should this continue? Or should religious dogma be used as toilet wipes?

No! Religion has nothing to do with man. Its what man puts into it. One can exist without religion, its ones belief that matters.

Dude religion gets you nowhere and does cause all the problems that you mentioned, but, a relationship with God is the important thing. Ya know, praying, asking for guidance. Everything else comes after that. Religion is nothing but closed minded rituals, you have to seek God for yourself. By the way, I'm a Christian.

There is no "religion" that gives man any hope. Men are religious about many things: sports, reading, fishing, drinking and all other sorts of "religious" activities including organized "religion." Salvation is another matter. There is only one name by which one may be saved. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, was crucified and resurrected after three days. Jesus tells us that he is the only way one can know the Father (God) and the only way to salvation is through him.

Faith in God, not a religion is the answer.

I do not follow any religion per se. I simply follow Christ.
