I think this is what is often called shin splints? eating a banana or increase the amount of potassium in your body is supposed to help.

This sounds like your body rebelling against your diet.
48Kg is 7.5 stone, or 105lb, which for someone of a height of 5'8, depending upon your age, is either underweight, or vastly underweight.
This could be the first symptom of an eating disorder, and there could be many more, and more serious symptoms, to follow. See the present arguments about Size Zero models - dying through their eating habits.
Don't mean to sound scary, but I would see a doctor - and soon.

Have you knocked your lower leg, and not known about it, (IE night out to much drink).
I'm trained Physiotherapist, and every lower leg has its specific bio mechanical causes, and all are rooted in tight calf muscles.
Common symptoms are, pain, cramps, dehydration, or depletion of potassium, sodium, calcium, or magnesium.
The above may cause,
muscle cramps, blockage of leg arteries, femoral nerve oyspunction, but the list can go on and on, but if your pain persists, seek medical advice, or at least get an x-ray to see whats going on...
Easy to say, but don't worry, you have probably knocked it without knowing, rest it, and place cold pack of peas on it for about 10 minutes, give it ago...
