What you need to do is easy. DOING IT is the hard part. You just need to gather the courage and let him know that his behavior is bad enough that you are seriously considering breaking it off. Once you do it, you will feel 100% BETTER. But, you just have to do it. You can't be miserable because of other people. If you don't learn to confront people now, you will end up in a lot of unhealthy relationships. I learned this the hard way and am just now seeing how I wasted a lot of time on boys who were not the best for me, but I was too scared to tell them to hit the road.
Just as he has a right to choose who he dates, you have the same right. So, make the choice you want! It is so sad that we girls have no problem taking back clothes to the store that are damaged or dirty. But, when a damaged guy comes into our lives, we just deal with it!

Break up with him here's how:
Three important rules for breaking up
Dont put off breaking up when you know you want to
Prolonging the situation only makes it worse
Tell him honestly, simply, kindly, but firmly
Dont make a big production
Dont make up an elaborate story
This will help you avoid a big tear jerking scene
If you wanna date other people say so
Be prepared for the boy to feel hurt and rejected
Even if youve gone together for only a short time,
And havent been too serious,
Theres still a feeling of rejection
When someone says she preferres the company of others
To your exclusive company,
But if youre honest, and direct,
And avoid making a flowery emotional speech when you brake the news,
The boy will respect you for your frankness,
And honestly hell apeciate the kind of straight foward manner
In which you told him your decision
Unless hes a real jerk or a cry baby you will remain friends

tell him its over. tell him why don't string him along. tell him the truth and be strong enough to end it.
i am sure there is another girl out there who will love his clinginess.
you might think of why you are dating someone you dont want around. are you too independent? are you really in it for the right reason.
why date a guy you wouldnt marry. He'll be aroung 24/7 then

Try honesty.
Some people don't get it, (or believe you), when you tell them something they don't want to hear. You told him what you don't like, and the response has been underwhelming.
Try writing it down, make him read it to you, ask if he understands. Then discuss reasonable and healthy boundaries. If he agrees, and over time his behavior doesn't change,..... Dump him.

There is no easy way. You just have to tell him that the relationship is over. He won't take it well, I guarantee you, but you need to do it for your own life and sanity.

Be more direct - tell him -
"Give me my space or we are thru!"
Some guys think that girls WANT them to be around 24/7 -- if a girl truly felt that way, they'd be married, right?
Best wishes!

The easy way is to tell him to take the highway, not always pain free, but easy...

There is no way to break it off easy..
Perhaps you should try talking to him about his behaviour before doing anything more
