I'm a moral person, especially in this aspect. How does 40 partners by the age of 18 sound?

its sad really. but, if this all happened before you even knew that the person was on the face of the earth, then you cant...and i mean CANT dwell on their past. in my current situation, my girl has had 13 sexual partners in the last few years. yes its way overboard, but that has been before i met her. if you feel different about this person b/c of the way her past is, then maybe you shouldnt even give it a chance. why? b/c you will be looking at them in a different way than you would someone who didnt have so much sex in the past. never live in the past b/c you cant change it, and always look toward the future. if she can stay solo for you, then great, if not, then get out now before your emotions run way too deep. you cant change her, only she can change herself.

40 partners...by 18 years old? It sounds like a person who works in the sex industry OR has some VERY BIG psychological problems. Should it bother you? Let's see, if you were buying a car and you were willing to pay $30,000 for it, would you "mind" if it had 179,000 miles on it and "may" have some "damage"?

You are thinking about investing your time and your heart in another person. If you have a gut feeling that this person just may have a mini drama brewing, you are probably right.

Nobody randomly has sex with that many people who isn't trying to heal some big damage done by parents or someone earlier in thier lives. I would urge that person to get a really good therapist before I would ever consider being with them- especially sexually. And for God's sake - GET AN HIV TEST and INSIST that this person get one too and THEN you still have to wait 6 months before you have sex with them to see if they might be HIV positive.

And can I just say EWWWWWWWWW. Check for STD's like Herpes.

When you have ZERO respect for your own body, so little that you will let ANYONE have sex with you, you have to have a pretty high level of self hatred.

Well if you ask me that sounds like an awful lot. I would not necessarily hold it against them but I would certainly not have unprotected sex with them. Maybe I am a bit old school but I lost my virginity at 17 and I am 31 now and I haven't even had 20 partners in all that time not even close. So I would say that even though I may not hold it against them I might not be to fond of the idea either.

Are you sure she's not bragging? If you believe that a person's recent past is reflective of his/her probable future, and if there is a huge gap between what your moral standards are and what hers are, then I would not see this as a match made in heaven.
In this age of STDs, where protection is not 100% safe, I would also be concerned that a person with this history would pass something on to me.
If all you are looking for is a "sure thing", then she's it.

Sounds like 40 more than I had by the time I was 18. They say guys tend to inflate it by 8x so probably 5 girls is a little more like it.

Past actions aren't necessarily an indicator of future actions, but as long as he doesn't have any disease, and it doesn't bother you, and you use safe sex or abstinence, I don't know why there would be a problem.

That would not be alot if she started acting in porn. All joking aside, it depends on how you feel. I would be more worried about commitment, I mean that sounds like she has issues, and if you are looking for a good relationship, I would be worried. Still if you are clean, and she wont take the test, then why risk it. All it takes is 1 time to affect your life forever.

Oh my, this is not a good sign, even keeping count that high isn't a good sign! If you feel that morally 40 partners is just too high, I think that you know the answer to your own question...maybe you just don't want to answer it.

Because the last thing you want is to be hurt by this person. Who could be carrying a STD or cheat on you with someone from his/her past.Thank about it.

It would bother me. And if it bothers you, don't talk yourself out of it. That's alot of men, not to mention sex. Like how many of these guys did she sleep with more than once??? Yikes. Scary thought. When I was 16 I was with 8 guys, and that number remains the same today. 40 is excessive. Maybe her sleeping around won't stop...............

Sounds like someone with not the greatest self esteem; questionable morals; flirting with STD danger; no sense of responsibility either.
