dowload is when you are receiving the file and upload is when you are sending the file.

A 'download' is GETTING something FROM a website on Internet.
An 'upload' is SENDING something TO a website on Internet.

You download a file into your computer from another source...the web, a CD, etc... You upload a file from your computer onto the web, such as uploading a photo to a website or email, etc...

On a download you're moving information from a server or site to your computer, in an upload your putting information from your computer to a site or server.

on the internet... a download means you are bringing something to your computer, and upload means you are giving something to someone else or to another computer. EX: I can download a song to my computer, or i can upload a song to your computer

When you down loadyou are taking some thing from a web site, ie a picture or text. when you are uploading it means you're putting information on a website

A download is what you get put onto your computer and an upload is what someone else gets from your computer.....i.e. music files......you download music files to your computer and someone else will upload music files from your computer
