Try getting a job where you can work from home. It mostly depends on if you're looking for a real career that you enjoy, or you just want the money. Maybe, you should wait for kids. Focus on work for a little while to get some money, so that it isnt so necessary.

you will raise your kids no matter if they go to day care or not. Even if you do stay at home by age 3 it is time to get them in day care anyway so that they can learn to be with other kids their own age and learn social skills. Besides the way they teach kids in daycare your child will be far behind if you wait until Kindergarten to send him or her to school.
Today two incomes are the norm and simle stay at home mom's are nearly a thing of the past, unless you like being poor.

This should of been discussed before you got in a serious relationship. A couple needs to have common expectations in life.
You can find a way to earn money at home. Babysit. Start an internet business. Work evenings when the kids are in bed.
You can find a way.

Well, I'm with you there! I don't have kids but want them someday, and unfortunately unless one of you is making some serious money, day care is really all you can do, unless relatives can help out with the babysitting (provide you give payment of course) which is another idea. I personally would rather stay home when I do have kids, but that's the selfish side of me talking. I wished I could give you better advice but I've realized that's kind of how it is with most families.

Either help him find a better job or career or live a modest lifestyle (no giant house, no brand new cars, no getting your nails done or boyfriend having season tickets). You have to scale back some if you want stay home. It is a commendable choice but a lot of sacrifice needs to be made.

Get a work from home job, they have several on the internet; just look them up on job sites. You can still have two incomes, and still be home with the children.

I would try to work out of your home. Maybe you could even run your own daycare. But, this way you'll be able to stay home with your kids and make some money as well.

Work at the daycare. You're with the kid all day, and bringing in money. Or, your bf is greedy and wants in on your money too. Re-consider this issue before jumping into marriage.

It CAN be done!
My wife hasn't worked for nearly six years, and we've survived on one income which included periods of unemployment.
Don't knock the benefits of mothers who stay at home. If more women did this, society would be richer for it.

My brother and his wife worked different shifts. A guy I work with has a wife who works at home as a financial planner, makes more $$ than he does. There's always a way.
